Golf Player Wins 2011 Range Rover Sport for Hole-In-One

As a long-time supporter of St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation, British Motor Cars made sure to donate a fabulous prize when the 32nd Annual St. Mary's Charity Golf Tournament came around: a brand-new, fully loaded 2011 Range Rover Sport to the golfer who sinks a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole at the Olympic Club.
Sensationally, Marin County golfer Tim Coughlan did just that - he aced the difficult downhill par 3 hole, hitting a 4-iron at 198 yards from the pin. And in a great coincidence, Mr. Coughlan was out playing the Lake Course on August 29 with not just anyone, but with his long-time friend Brian Murphy, the well-known host of KNBR's Murph & Mac radio show.
Brian Murphy witnessed the miracle shot and voiced his excitement by sending out a tweet with a grinning Tim Coughlan kneeling by the hole after he beat the odds to sink a hole-in one.

The fantastic golf shot by Mr. Coughlan got plenty of publicity over the next few weeks, including a few on air mentions by Brian Murphy on his radio broadcast. Listen here to the hole-in-one story on the Murph and Mac Show (KNBR 680)!
Don Endo, CEO of Qvale Auto Group, the parent company of British Motor Car Distributors, also participated in the tournament and shared his appreciation of Tim Coughlan's win: "In my 8 years of being involved with the Golf Committee of the St. Mary's Medical Center Foundation, no one ever has made the winning shot to take home one of the vehicles donated by our dealership. I'm very excited that finally someone has won, it makes supporting such a worthy cause all the more worthwhile. We are proud to be a sponsor of this great community event."
Now fast forward to early October….last week, hole-in-one prize winner Tim Coughlan was all smiles as he arrived at British Motor Car Distributors at 901 Van Ness Avenue to pick up his new 2011 Range Rover Sport valued at $67,000. An avid golf player for 35 years with a single-digit handicap, Mr. Coughlan came to BMC straight off the golf course even on this extraordinary day. He was happy to recount his hole-in-one shot to BMC General Sales Manager Mario Terzic and Qvale Auto Group CEO Don Endo. Both describe Tim Coughlan as a down to earth, easy going client that was very pleasant to deal with - and Mr. Coughlan in return was very pleased how quickly and professionally the necessary paperwork was handled.
And just in case you wonder, the winner's car ended up being a 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE in Zermatt Silver. Congratulations again from British Motor Cars on a truly spectacular win!
